APC To Inaugurate Presidential Campaign Council On Wednesday
The development comes as the country gears up for the upcoming presidential election on January 16, 2027. The post APC To Inaugurate Presidential Campaign Council On Wednesday appeared first on Channels Television.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is moving to formally kick off its re-election campaign machinery ahead of the 2027 presidential poll, with the party set to inaugurate a Presidential Campaign Council for President Bola Tinubu. Such councils are typically broad-based structures bringing together governors, National Assembly members, ministers, party chieftains and other stakeholders to coordinate strategy, fundraising, messaging and mobilisation across the country's six geopolitical zones, serving as the engine room of a ruling party's bid to retain power.
The timing is notable given how far out the inauguration is from the scheduled January 2027 election date, signalling the APC's intent to consolidate early and present a unified front behind Tinubu's second-term bid. Coverage so far agrees on the Wednesday inauguration and its broad purpose of overseeing campaign messaging, media engagement and coordination between party leaders and state structures, but details such as the council's full membership, leadership and funding arrangements have yet to be reported.
