Arsenal have been chasing a strong start across multiple competitions this season, with manager Mikel Arteta relying on a settled squad to compete for the Premier League title and make a deep run in the Champions League. Squad depth and injury management have repeatedly shaped the club's campaigns in recent years, making fresh fitness setbacks a significant concern for fans and pundits alike.
Dean Huijsen and Martin Zubimendi have featured as part of Arsenal's rebuilt defence and midfield this season, so simultaneous injuries to both raise questions about selection options for upcoming fixtures, including the Champions League tie against Lille. Both outlets confirm Arteta's comments that the players will undergo further scans before a recovery timeline is known, but neither report yet specifies the nature of the injuries, how they were sustained, or how long each player is expected to be sidelined.
