Revealed: What Akor Adams said after scoring the winner for Venezia against Napoli
Akor Adams scored Venezia's winner against Napoli for their first Serie A victory since promotion, then praised fans and disclosed Davide Nicola's team talk.
Akor Adams, a Super Eagles forward, moved to Venezia as part of the club's push to strengthen their squad after returning to Serie A, Italy's top flight, following promotion from Serie B. Venezia had struggled for results since going back up, making a maiden top-flight win over a side like Napoli a significant marker for the club and for Adams' individual progress in one of Europe's most competitive leagues.
The coverage is largely consistent on the facts: Adams scored the only goal in a 1-0 home win over Napoli, snapping Venezia's winless run in Serie A this season. Legit.ng adds detail beyond the result, reporting Adams' post-match comments thanking fans and revealing coach Davide Nicola's pre-match team talk, an angle the other outlets do not cover. None of the reports give further detail on the manner of the goal, Adams' minutes this season, or Venezia's league position following the win.
