Natasha Akpoti has visited the family of the late former Kogi Governor Ibrahim Idris, highlighting her engagement with the prominent political family.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan visited the family of late former Kogi State Governor Ibrahim Idris on September 22 to offer her condolences following his death in the UK at the age of 77. Idris, who governed Kogi from 2003 to 2012 under the PDP, was described by Natasha as an important figure in the political history of Kogi State and the party.
During the visit, Natasha expressed sympathy to Idris's children, grandchildren, relatives, friends and political associates. She prayed for the family to have the strength to cope with the loss and for Allah to forgive Idris's shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
Natasha also used the occasion to call for peace and unity among Kogi people, urging residents to put political differences aside during the mourning period. She said the passing of former leaders should encourage reflection on their public service and the legacies they leave behind.
